Top quality materials, design and construction are the trademark of a Katabears cage. The cages are easy to assemble, simple to clean and disinfect and are light weight and movable.

Most of our units are slim enough to fit through the average doorway, meaning you can move the cages from room to room without the need to take them apart.

Our cages are built using white Schedule 40 PVC Pipe - a thicker material that therefore makes for a stronger frame then used on the average cage system.

You have the option of choosing 14-gauge Galvanized Wire Mesh or black PVC plastic coated wire. Most breeders prefer the extra smooth surface of plastic coated wire believing it minimizes coat damage and is easier to clean than uncoated wire.

One of the options you can choose in the floor between our double cages is to have an Trap Door in the Floor. Open it to allow access between the adjacent cages... for visiting :-)

<<< Cage Latch & Hinges

It is important for a door latch to be strong... you don't ever want to worry about a determined male escaping from his enclosure for a "night on the town".

The latch on the Katabears cage is made of galvanized metal to prevent twisting, bending or breaking. The same strong material is used for our hinges.

Our standard doors are hinged on the right however you can request a left hinging door at no additional cost.

<<< Shelves and Shelf Hangers

Our shelves are made of half inch thick solid white plastic and provide a smooth surface for easy cleaning and disinfecting - no bumps or screws or plugs either on the top or bottom of the surfaces.

Strong "L" hooks attach the shelf to the cage wire. This makes it easy to reposition the shelves or to remove them for extra cleaning.

With the exception of our walk in cage and our stackable top units, all cage styles come with heavy duty brass castors included in the price.

You can purchase extra shelves, raise the height of your cage on a stand for easier access or add floor openings to allow access between cages.
